Telephone Counselling

|  What is Telephone Counselling

Telephone Counselling is like Face-to-Face Counselling but instead it is over the phone. It can be a good solution for clients who wish to receive treatment without the need to travel to the therapist’s office. If you suffer from depression you might lose motivation and find it challenging to keep appointments. It is an option if you suffer from agoraphobia, anxiety, body dysmorphic disorder, multiple sclerosis. If you are finding it hard to leave your house, let alone getting out of bed, you might want to try phone counselling for treatment.

The same goes for people who travel a lot and cannot keep appointments, Telephone Counselling can be more flexible and fit to their schedules.

All types of phones can be used for telephone counselling, but there are potential threats to the security of the communication. VSee can be used for Calls, Video and Chat but if you wish you can use it for Calls only, in case you decide you want to use Video also, we can both ‘enable’ VSee Video. I stress on VSee Calls only because the conversations are encrypted. If you want to keep it all more private I recommend a USB Phone. You should keep in mind that it is necessary to find a quiet, comfortable space that you will not be disturbed.

Telephone Counselling might not be for everyone. Those with strong accents or who cannot articulate well verbally may feel more confortable engaging in Counselling via a different method of delivery. Maybe via Chat. (see my E-Therapy page).

|  Fees & payment for E –Therapy

  • Sessions last for 50 minutes. I do offer lower prices to clients with low income.
  • The fee is lower than the fee for Face-to-Face sessions only because the expenses for room rent are excluded and not because the quality of the sessions is any different.

|  Making Payments

Details with clear instructions will be provided to you before therapy begins. Payments are being collected via Paypal. You don’t have to have a paypal account, you can use a credit or debit card. The payment will be made by simply clicking on the link I ll have sent you and by following the online instructions.
